SCROLL DOWN FOR ENGLISH TEXT!
Dopo qualche mese di assenza torno con un piccolo ricamo che per molto tempo era rimasto nel cassetto. L’avevo iniziato con l’intenzione di appenderlo in cucina, poi per vari motivi era stato messo da parte e dimenticato… come spesso succede, almeno a me.
Un giorno però ho deciso di riprenderlo e terminarlo, per fare la mia parte nel SAL “Ricamiamo un JJ” promosso dalla cara Barbara del blog Barbara4stagioni, al quale mi ero iscritta senza però combinare nulla di concreto.
Avevo infatti avuto una brutta sorpresa che mi aveva fato interrompere il ricamo “Lifestyles” col quale avrei dovuto partecipare al SAL: tela aida che avevo acquistato presso un noto negozio di tessuti, aveva i fori rettangolari!!! Lì per lì non me ne ero resa conto, ma ad un certo punto la cosa era diventata evidente e la mia rabbia tale da farmi smettere il ricamo. Poi il trasloco e altre vicende avevano chiuso definitivamente la questione negli scatoloni e per un po’ non ci ho più pensato.
Ma il gruppo di ricamatrici creato da Barbara è talmente piacevole che desideravo davvero farne parte attiva e non essere solo spettatrice, così il quadretto per la cucina è tornato alla luce ed ora aspetta solo la giusta cornice per essere appeso.
Fortunatamente Barbara, oltre ad essere una persona piena di energie e talento, è anche paziente e comprensiva ed ha accettato il mio misero contributo al suo SAL, ed ora questo piccolo ricamo si trova nella galleria del primo step, che vi invito ad andare a visitare, perché tutti i ricami sono davvero bellissimi!
E “Lifestyles”? Ho acquistato dell’altra tela, in un altro negozio ovviamente, stavolta non tela aida ma una tela a trama grossa molto facile da ricamare e via come un razzo a ricamare la simpatica bambolina di Jeremiah Junction… ma di questo vi parlerò la prossima volta!

After several months of absence I come back with a little embroidery, which had long been in the drawer. I had started it with the intention to hang it in my kitchen, then for various reasons it had been put aside and forgotten ... as often happens, at least to me.
But one day I decided to take it back and finish it, to do my part in the SAL "We embroider a JJ" promoted by dear Barbara, of "Barbara4stagioni" blog, to which I am a member, but without doing anything concrete.
In fact I had a bad surprise, that made me interrupt the embroidery "Lifestyles" with whom I should participate in the SAL: the Aida canvas that I bought at a popular fabric store, had rectangular holes !!! Initially I had not realized it, but at some point it had become evident and my anger had become soooo big to make me stop the embroidery. Then the move and other events had finally closed the question in cardboard boxes and for a while I no longer thought about it.
But the group of embroiderers created by Barbara is so enjoyable that I really wanted to make an active part in it, and not just be a spectator, so the embroidery for the kitchen has come to light and now it’s just waiting for the right frame to be hung.
Fortunately Barbara, as well as being a person full of energy and talent, is also patient and understanding and has accepted my paltry contribution to her SAL, and now this small embroidery is in the gallery of the first step: I invite you to give a look at it, because all the embroideries are really beautiful!
And "Lifestyles"? I bought another canvas, in another shop of course, this time not Aida but a highly textured canvas, very easy to embroider, and I am embroidering the cute little doll of Jeremiah Junction ... but I will talk about this next time!
